Career Profile


Sudz Khawaja is a multi-disciplinary executive with 20 years of experience in the consulting, software, and mobile telecommunications industries.  He has held roles with responsibility for business development, management consulting, strategic planning, operations, and systems development and integration at early-stage startups and established companies.

Sudz is the President of TASK Consultants, a boutique consulting firm advising the executive teams of companies engaged in the mobile telecommunications and software industries and supporting the IT leadership teams of Fortune 500 companies with business transformation projects.

Most recently, as Vice President of Operations and Sales at Flipswap, Sudz was the chief operations executive and led turnaround efforts at the company, helping restore the company on a path to profitability.  Sudz also assumed the role of Acting CIO and spearheaded the development of a product roadmap, managed multiple successful product releases, and led license sales and support teams for the company’s industry-leading SaaS platform for reverse logistics and recycling of consumer electronics.

Prior to joining Flipswap, Sudz was CEO of Wireless Works, a distributor and logistic services provider in the wireless telecommunications industry, providing the most comprehensive suite of forward and reverse logistics services, extended warranty and insurance solutions, as well as mobile devices and prepaid products to wireless carriers, specialty wireless retailers, and big-box national retailers.  Under his leadership, the company established itself as one of the leading logistic service providers in the industry and built a reputation for providing high quality products and services.  Sudz established partnerships with leading wireless carriers and handset manufacturers including AT&T, MetroPCS, Motorola, Nokia, Pantech, and UTStarcom Audiovox, and managed national programs for carriers such as Centennial, Cricket, Pocket Communications, and SunCom.  Sudz led Wireless Works from its inception in 2002 to a $50MM run-rate in revenue, and maintained a portfolio of highly profitable product lines.

Previously, Sudz was Vice President of Sales and Business Development at PolyVista, a provider of data-mining software, where he developed alliances and distribution channels for the company’s enterprise software products and led the sales of business intelligence solutions to Fortune 500 clients.  During his tenure with the company, Sudz established partnerships with Accenture and SunGard Consulting and sold 6- and 7-figure software licenses to Enron and HP.

Sudz has also served as Vice President of Technology and Deputy CIO at Network International, the primary channel for disposal of surplus and distressed equipment for the world’s leading energy companies.  He was responsible for developing a robust platform of auctions and trading systems, and other value added services, to support Fortune 500 companies extract maximum value for obsolete and salvage equipment.

Earlier in his career, as an Executive at Accenture, Sudz managed global teams in developing and deploying enterprise systems for leading energy companies including Enron, Halliburton, and Tenneco.  Sudz began his career as a Software Engineer at Novell, where he worked in the major accounts group supporting the development of mission critical applications.

A magna cum laude graduate of Coe College in Iowa, he earned a B.A. in Computer Science and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.  Sudz also holds an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin.

Sudz spends time in San Francisco and Houston, where he is actively involved in mentoring young companies and volunteering with social development agencies that have a thematic focus in the areas of education and children’s issues.  He has served as a Deputy Regional Coordinator of AKF USA and is presently serving as an Ambassador for Child Advocates.
